Position Summary and Responsibilities
- Complete project-level responsibilities including design, analysis, test, debug and documentation of high-speed digital circuits, mixed signal electronic circuits, analog, power distribution networks of new products.
- Design and layout high-frequency PCB.
- Design test fixtures and automated test routines to support testing of prototype.
- Be part of the team developing exciting next generation instruments, using state of the art technology and be a real contributor.
Qualifications
- Must have solid electronic fundamentals / basics.
- A junior or intermediate-level engineer who has a variety of electronics knowledge, who is eager to learn and design new things will be considered.
- BSEE 2-7 years or MSEE 1-4 years of design experience.
- High-speed digital designs, signal integrity, transmission lines, and S-parameters.
Knowledge of the following is a plus:
- Knowledge of protocols like PCI Express, USB, and control busses like I2C and SPI.
- Basic knowledge of DSP theory (sampling theory, FFT, basic digital filter concepts).
- Ability to understand simple circuits in the frequency and time domain.
- Able to connect DRAMs in high speed designs.
- Test equipment – Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers and Digital Oscilloscopes.
- Design simulation analysis with Orcad, PSpice, Excel, Ansys tools, MatLab or other software tools.
- Python or similar scripting capability to analyze data.
