Controller (CPA Required)

About the Company:
Our Client is a fast-growing organization looking for a highly skilled Controller with Big 4 Public Accounting experience and strong technical skills. In this role, you will lead key financial processes, including post-merger integration, system integration, and financial reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the stabilization and growth of our accounting function while working closely with leadership to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting: Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, including consolidation of entities and detailed financial analysis.
Post-Merger Integration: Lead post-merger integration efforts, including the integration of QuickBooks data into Great Plains and the streamlining of financial reporting across multiple divisions.
Vendor Payments & AR/AP Management: Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation in vendor payments.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Create dashboards and financial reports using Power BI, providing leadership with clear insights and metrics to drive decision-making.
Technical Expertise: Manage accounting system integrations and API-based solutions to automate financial data flows, ensuring seamless integration between accounting platforms and operational systems.
Systems Integration: Lead efforts to integrate accounting platforms such as Great Plains and other ERP systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency across financial systems.
Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting function, driving efficiency and enhancing visibility across the company’s financial performance.
Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA): Required.
Big 4 Public Accounting Experience: Expertise in technical accounting, financial reporting, and post-merger integration.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise with QuickBooks, Great Plains, or similar accounting systems.
- Experience with API integrations for financial data automation.
- Proficiency in Power BI or similar reporting tools.
Analytical and Leadership Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to create financial reports and dashboards, coupled with leadership to guide cross-functional teams and collaborate with senior management.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in post-merger integration and accounting system migrations.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable/payable, month-end close, and vendor management.
- Ability to collaborate across IT and operations to ensure financial systems are integrated effectively and efficiently.
