THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Commercial Sr Analyst to improve business performance with actionable insight, models and solutions. You will play a key role on the Sportsbook Commercial team and will collaborate with multiple departments within the company including, but not limited to Commercial, Marketing, Product, Data Science, R&T, Customer Service and Responsible Gaming. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive strategic initiatives at FanDuel.
THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play
- Support the Commercial Manager with analytics for new state launches, helping teams around the business drive outcomes to be the #1 operator in each state.
- Support forecast delivery, reporting and analytics for tentpole moments (NFL launch, Super Bowl, etc.) along with actionable insights and recommendations to raise the bar on execution.
- Support dedicated analytical support to several key teams in the business including Product & Pricing, Transformation and Responsible Gaming.
- Work with other analysts to produce insights and drivers of business performance.
- Create, modify and evolve models and data visualizations to better understand and explain the day-to-day performance of various KPIs.
- Create and maintain automated reporting processes visible to group-wide teams.
- Participate in presentations focused on using analysis to drive new business outcomes.
- Field and fulfill requests for various business inquiries.
- Opportunity to mentor junior analysts on day-to-day requests as well as team best practices.
- Build out our reporting suite to meet stakeholder needs in an effective and efficient manner and generate insights that help set the priorities for our business.
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in an analytical, technical or commercial field.
- Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience in data and/or business analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL, PowerPoint and Excel required.
- Ability to use languages for analysis, Python, R, Spark preferred.
- Demonstrated experience using data visualization software to convey analysis in an easy to digest format. Preferred experience working with Tableau for data visualization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - demonstrable track record of influencing up, down and across organizations.
- Knowledge of sports and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry is a plus.

The applicable salary range for this position is $92,000 - $115,000, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
