Vaco Boston has partnered with our client that is seeking a Controller. They are looking for a strong leader that can make an impact in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership on all financial and operational management including budgeting and accounting.
- Establish and improve internal control systems.
- Lead preparation of financial statements and operating reports ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP.
- Oversee processing of transactions and accounting data ensuring legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
- Work with external audit team.
- Manage annual audit.
- Responsible for monthly reporting to leadership.
- Assess organizational performance against budgets with management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MBA and CPA preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience as a Controller.
- Supervisory experience with 4+ direct reports.
- Strong cost accounting and Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
