Core One is seeking an Experimentation Analyst to support the program. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Employ a range of experimentation tools to support industry-standard and trade space studies evaluating warfighter capabilities, differing solution designs, program recommendations, and overall capability performance.
- Support the development, coordinate, plan and execute EXFOR experimentation efforts and events which may include modeling, simulations, tabletop exercises, war games, red team analysis, prototyping, and demonstrations to validate the feasibility, reliability, and resiliency of experiments for enhancing Special Operations capabilities across the DOTmLPF-P spectrum.
- Assess the utility and application of different or developing commercially or government-owned analytical tool sets.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on cutting edge technologies while functioning as an expert in leveraging the potential of Special Operations Forces (SOF) research and technology developments.
- Establish and/or maintain contacts with SOF AT&L, Science & Technology (S&T), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and other DoD, Joint, Military Service and SOF Component S&T organizations.
- Report findings and/or results from every experiment event executed on behalf of the client; capture lessons learned and incorporate them into future event scenarios and practices.
- Assemble, train and lead experiment events by supporting scenario development and scenario scripting for the desired event.
- Plan, design, develop, and lead experiment events from concept through post-execution review.
- Create briefs for approval, progress updates, and scenario implementation.
- Provide analytical support to plan, prepare, rehearse, conduct, and assess senior leader seminars, SOF experiment events to include exercises, table-top exercises, and interoperability workshop/conferences.
- Evaluate DOTmLPF-P to develop alternative solutions that may inform senior leaders on force changes, resourcing, and capability gaps.
- Attend planning (Ex, Initial, Mid and Final) conferences and workshops with stakeholders to discuss event planning, scenario development and scripting.
- Participate in experimentation-related forums, working groups, and external assemblies (i.e. Conferences, technology shows, etc.).
- Support development of USSOCOM products, including guidance and directives (SOF Operating Guidance, Force Planning Guidance (FPG), SOF Programming Guidance (SPG), etc.).
- Conduct strategic outreach and engagement efforts regarding SOF Experimentation, Force Development and Design (internal and external audiences, senior military leaders, and political officials).
- Travel up to 25% of the time on a monthly basis.
- Prepare reports, information papers, and presentations as required utilizing Microsoft Office family of products (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access).
- Develop and maintain an electronic resource, to include key points of contact, to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution.
- 3 years strategic/operational level experience (military, contract or civilian) working with DoD Services, Combatant Commands, supporting strategic engagements programs (e.g., wargames, experimentation, Warfighter Talks, Service staff-level conferences and events).
- 3 years of experience in the areas of planning, concept development, analysis of alternatives, scenario-based development and execution, modeling and simulations, experimentation, design theory, and/or analytical methodologies to evaluate networked environments and anomalous simulation results.
- 3 years’ total experience in USSOCOM assigned organizations, as military, Government civilian or contractor.
- 3 years’ experience in planning for large-scale (>30 individual) events on behalf of senior leadership.
- 3 years’ experience conducting defense-related research on emerging technologies or researching and integrating current intelligence and operations to develop scenarios, studies and analysis.
- 3 years of experience creating operational products to identify exercise results and lessons learned to support future exercise planning and requirements.
- 3 years of experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at the general/flag-level command staff.
- 5 years’ experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g., SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel etc.).
- Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
