This position will serve as a Departmental Analyst reviewing and determining eligibility of applicants for inclusion into the Responsible Gaming Database (RGD) in accordance with the Lawful Internet Gaming Act 152 of 2019, and the Lawful Sports Betting Act 149 of 2019. This position will also review and determine eligibility of applicants for placement on the Disassociated Persons List (DPL) in accordance with Section 25 of the Michigan Gaming and Revenue Control Act, as amended. This position will promote the Don’t Regret the Bet responsible gaming (RG) campaign participating in community outreach, providing presentations, and communicating with other jurisdictions regarding RG best practices. In addition, the position is responsible for promoting and maintaining communication and cooperation between the Board, casino personnel, and Michigan State Police.
The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) is a state agency dedicated to ensuring the conduct of fair and honest gaming. Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
Departmental Analyst 9 - 12
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.

Civil Service Rule 2-7 requires that all persons who are not currently state employees submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test which must be administered within 24 hours of a conditional offer or the offer may be rescinded. It is considered a refusal to test if an applicant fails to provide a sufficient sample within the allotted time. In accordance with Civil Service Regulation 2.07, an individual may be sanctioned from applying to State of Michigan vacancies, permanently or up to (3) three years, should you fail to pass/submit to the pre-employment drug test. Under Civil Service Regulation 3.06, you may be sanctioned from applying to positions with the State of Michigan, if you make any false statements or omissions of a material fact during the selection process.
