Description
The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing accurate and timely accounting support in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to various GoTo Foods constituents. The individual will maintain adequate internal controls and protect company assets while demonstrating the core competencies below.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Preferred)
Work Experience
One or two years' experience in accounting (Required)
Quick service, franchise operations, and/or hospitality industry experience (Preferred)
Skills and Abilities
Experience with widely-used ERP/accounting systems (Microsoft AX, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Oracle, Intacct, etc.) is preferred.
Excellent communication, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting principles.
Proficiency with MS Office (advanced skills in Excel and Word) required.
Able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
Quick learner with the ability to work independently with an appropriate level of support.
Experience in process improvements is a plus.
Licenses and Certifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Preferred)
