Job Description
This position will focus on accounting matters for the Company and is a critical team player in the overall success of the finance and accounting team. The qualified candidate will interact with finance/accounting and Company cross-functional teams. Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Track key accounting and reporting issues for consideration
- Review balance sheet account reconciliations
- Prepare balance sheet flux analysis
- Compile variance data for income statement analysis against budget and prior year
- Journal entry preparation and review
- Assist in drafting policies and procedures
- Prepare supporting documentation for internal analysis, journal entries, footnotes, and the external auditors
- Assist with the completion of disclosure checklists
- Point of contact for external auditors
- Maintain and review documented procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls
- Assist in the design and implementation of close process improvements
- Provide coaching and guidance to staff
- Assist with ad-hoc assignments, special projects, and new US GAAP accounting standard implementation
Key Competencies Required
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Big 4 accounting firm and/or corporate accounting experience; public company experience a plus
- Minimum of 7 years of related work experience
- Possess a strong working knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with internal control design and implementation
- Familiarity with new accounting pronouncements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Experience with the Workday accounting system is a plus
