Overview
To be responsible for the effective operation of the Carvery Department by maximizing sales and gross profit, ensuring sales goals and budgets are met, and providing customers with the best quality foods, ensuring courteous, timely customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for a friendly, effective, and personalized experience.
- Overseeing the effective ordering, production, and merchandising of all carvery products and ensuring attractive displays to maintain and increase sales.
- Planning daily production sheets to ensure variety in carvery products and effectively prioritizing and organizing all production and department functions.
- Controlling inventory through pricing and signage of carvery products to achieve company goals and budget to maximize sales and profits.
- Maximizing sales and gross profit, ensuring sales goals, budgets, and shrink targets are met.
- Scheduling, directing, supervising, and disciplining department staff and training all new employees.
- Being responsible for the opening and/or closing functions of the department.
- Ensuring the maintenance of equipment and the safety and sanitation of the production and back room areas, as per Company Policy.
- Ensuring compliance with the company food safety standards, regulations, and audits.
- Responding to any customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times.
- Interpreting and administering Company policy and ensuring compliance with the Collective Agreement.
- Performing other duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in food production, preferably in a retail or restaurant environment.
- Previous managerial experience and knowledge of production schedules is a definite asset.
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
