Capital International Group is looking for a hardworking individual to join the team and provide high quality services to our clients and internal investment operational teams. Our Operations Technical Department works collaboratively with our colleagues in all areas of the business to ensure our processes meet all relevant internal and regulatory policy and procedural requirements, whilst providing a frictionless and efficient service to our clients and colleagues.
What you’ll do:
- Responsibility for first line assurance monitoring; test, evaluate and report results to identify potential risks to the Group.
- Following testing, highlight when changes to processes and procedures may be required, working with the relevant Operational teams to implement.
- Work with other project teams to integrate new activities, mitigating impact to the business areas.
- Support project work in relation to FATCA, CRS and AML CFT submissions, working with the Operational teams to ensure system records are complete and up to date to meet tax reporting requirements.
- Support the operational teams with ongoing monitoring of data accuracy and integrity using Microsoft CRM as a review and reporting tool.
- Produce and maintain internal procedures relevant to first line assurance monitoring.
- Work with the Operational Teams to identify and document the control functions within their processes and procedures.
- Effective verbal and non-verbal communication with key stakeholders, including the preparation of quarterly reporting and statistical preparation.
- Flexibility to accommodate ad-hoc technical administrative tasks.
- You may, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature in other teams that fall within your capabilities as requested by your line manager.

What you’ll need to succeed:
- High level awareness of FSA Regulatory reporting requirements is desirable but not essential.
- A working knowledge of FATCA / CRS and IRS reporting requirements is desirable but not essential.
- Previous Investment Operations experience within a financial services environment is preferred.
- A great knowledge of AML / KYC requirements.
- Previous Quality Assurance experience is preferential.
- Has a good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Delivers expected job outputs to standard and on time.
- Takes ownership for problems to ensure they get resolved.
- Ensures work is done through to completion.
- Knows when to escalate important issues or problems.
- Challenges current working practices to improve quality, efficiency or service.

Desirable Qualifications:
- Educated to A level standard.
- Will hold an industry recognised professional qualification.
- Working knowledge of MS Office products.
- Experience of risk and governance framework.
- Knowledge of Investment Operations core administration systems.
