Job Title: Senior Accountant, Consolidation and Reporting
Reports To: Senior Director, External Reporting
Location: Enovis is open to offering a hybrid work arrangement for this role, with three days onsite and two days remote. The candidate will have the opportunity to work from one of the following locations: Wilmington, Delaware or Lewisville, Texas.
Business Unit: Corporate Accounting
As a Senior Accountant, you will assist with the consolidation and reporting process of Enovis, including the quarterly SEC external reporting and monthly internal management reporting. Additionally, the senior accountant may also assist in other corporate accounting activities such as pension, leasing accounting, financial reporting related technical accounting matters, and consolidation system or other process improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for assigned tasks within monthly close: timely and accurate monthly financial close through the performance of consolidation adjustments and monitoring activities and assisting in the preparation of the monthly actuals report.
- Month-end close and consolidation activities include the preparation of consolidation adjustments such as profit-in-inventory adjustment, monitoring of intercompany balancing, preparation of equity roll forward, statement of cash flow, and analytical analysis.
- Work with internal intercompany partners monthly ensuring proper resolution of intercompany differences and document resolution in accordance with specified accounting policies.
- Responsible for the preparation of assigned sections of the quarterly/annual external financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
- Assist in overall review of the 10-Q/10-K and 8-K filings related to quarterly financial results and earnings releases.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, other accounting regulations, and internal policies.
- Assist with technical accounting research and consolidation system/process improvement projects.
- Support SOX compliance, internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with colleagues from FP&A, corporate accounting, and business teams.
- Assist in the design, modification/implementation, and/or maintenance of accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions.
- Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment and to pivot based on changing business needs.
Minimum Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent, public audit experience at a Big-4 accounting firm or equivalent.
- Understanding of accounting principles, high attention to detail, broad knowledge of MS Excel functions, and communication skills are required. Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports, and review and verify accuracy.
- An experienced professional with complete understanding of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
LICENSES
- CPA license preferred and/or actively pursuing the CPA license.
Desired Characteristics
- High attention to detail is required as well as the ability to handle changing priorities.
- Ability to perform under tight deadlines and prioritize.
- Proven knowledge of MS Excel beyond a basic level is a must (sort lists, subtotal, sumif, pivot tables and vlookup).
- Knowledge of Oracle EPM consolidation system and Alteryx, a plus.
- Curious about the business, adaptable to growth and willing to learn.
- Passion for continuous improvement.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, procedures, and technical accounting memos. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to work cross-functionally, understand business processes and present accounting to non-finance colleagues.
