The Position
Our bank client is seeking to fill a Credit Analyst role in the Madison, WI area. This selected candidate will analyze and underwrite credits for new loans, renewals, and annual relationship reviews.
This position includes a generous salary of up to $75K and a full benefits package. (This is not a remote position).
Credit Analyst responsibilities include:
- Analyzing the borrower’s strengths, weaknesses, and overall creditworthiness.
- Performing financial, industrial, macroeconomic, and collateral analysis when underwriting medium to large-size commercial credits for Commercial Relationship Managers.
- Spreading financial statements and tax returns into the financial statement spreadsheet software.
- Conducting financial analysis, calculating financial ratios, conducting comparisons to industry norms, and collateral and guarantor analysis.
- Preparing documentation and reports for periodic commercial relationship reviews.
- Helping to structure loan terms that adhere to credit policy.
- Preparing projections, if applicable, detailing the effects on the borrower of best-case, worst-case, and most likely-case scenarios.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

- A bachelor’s degree, or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
- One year to three years of similar or related experience.
- Ability to motivate or influence others as a material part of the role, with a significant level of diplomacy and trust.
- Work frequently involves exercising advanced conflict resolution, giving material presentations, and resolving issues impacting multiple departments or divisions.
- High level of mathematical, language, writing, and independent reasoning skills.
- Proficiency in word processing, internet researching, multitasking, and spreadsheet software.
