Job Title: Financial Transactional Manager
Company: Leading Hospitality Business
Overview: My client is looking for a Financial Transactional Manager to head up and improve transactional finance. The business is experiencing year-on-year growth and is looking to further grow in the upcoming year.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and inspire the accounts payable team to ensure that the overall processing of invoices (average 17,000 invoices pm) and payments.
- Prepare a department objective plan, including timetables and company objectives.
- Compile and execute the weekly payment runs (CHAPS, BACS cheques) in line with the company's payment terms, as well as work closely with Financial Reporting to pay in accordance with cash flow forecast.
- Manage the supplier vendor master files and ensure there are no duplicate accounts and that records are kept up-to-date.
- Reconcile the monthly balance sheet accounts for creditors, debtors and all various bank accounts within the group and add commentary accordingly.
- Ensure that the stock account (GRNI) in the balance sheet is reconciled to the concession invoices processed by AP.
- Ensure monthly supplier statement reconciliations are completed and outstanding invoices are requested and queries dealt with to ensure no outstanding liabilities.
- Review and streamline processes and procedures on a continuous basis and update process procedure notes.
- Manage the customer file to ensure customers are credit checked and set up with the correct credit limit.
- Raise sales invoices in accordance with SLA.
- Cash allocation for the Aged Debtors is done within the day of cash receipt.
- Ensure that the cash is reconciled between the operating system and the cash received within the bank, including cash in the form of credit cards.
- Follow up with internal and external auditors on any internal control issues highlighted that should be reviewed.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Experienced Transactional Manager from a cash-based business.
- Managed teams larger than 5 people.
- Excel skills desirable, comfortable with IT systems.
- Organised, efficient, self-sufficient person with good interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.
- Demonstrate an interest in improving and developing systems and procedures.
