Overview
The Sr. Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for providing the President of the pharmacy segment with monthly reports of financials for four business segments as well as preparing monthly and quarterly materials for the Board of Directors. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be a key partner between executive management and the financial segment leaders by helping to define and drive all financial analysis and reporting for their assigned business. The successful candidate will be able to analyze trends across the following metrics: census growth, revenue rate, labor management, overhead staffing, collections, expense and capital expenditures.

Responsibilities
- Drive Business Performance – More than reporting the numbers, the Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for monitoring key performance metrics and recommending action to improve operational performance across many areas.
- Financial modeling – partner with the VP of Forecasting and Budgeting to model the optimal financial performance for the pharmacies, based on their volume, monitor performance against the model, so that leaders can drive change at the field level where gaps exist.
- Accounting Focus – Review accounting for revenue and expense accruals as well as presenting gross profit variance analysis. Review monthly inventory and cash flow for each business segment.
- Deep Dive Operational / Financial reviews – Complete detailed reviews of individual locations. Each location will be reviewed regularly, with particular attention to locations with significant variances to monthly budgets / forecast and/or with demonstrated changes to their run rates.
- Designs, develops, implements and maintains business solutions. Works directly with clients and project and business leaders to identify analytical requirements.
- Interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining.
- Understanding complex pharmacy processes and create reporting solutions that translate into simple and efficient operational management.
- Strong communicator, provides and presents content to clients, on data that is related to facility operational trends and solutions.
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal clients.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and deliver according to deadlines.
- Provides analytical services support for the PMC President and Staff with an emphasis on using data to discover and present actionable cost-containment opportunities.
- Standardized Reporting – To support their businesses, ensure all reporting is produced timely and provides valuable information to understand current business trends, and utilizes reporting to identify focus areas – addressing with operations and other functions as needed.
- Ad hoc analysis / projects – As a valuable resource to a business unit, various analytical initiatives will be assigned. These include rate/volume variance analyses, wage increase valuation, proforma development for new business, union negotiation analysis and other operational reporting projects that may arise.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• CPA/CFA or MBA preferred
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Ability to use complex reporting processes, systems, and report writing tools
- Experience with Adaptive and Office Connect is a plus
- High attention to detail, timeliness, and accuracy
• Experience in budgeting, and forecasting
• Experience with development of variance and trend financial analysis
• Strong personal computer skills, including Excel and MS Office tools, spreadsheet, and database usage
• Ability to effectively and professionally communicate (verbal and written) with all levels of personnel both internal and external to the company
• Knowledge of current industry trends, standards, and practices

Salary Range
USD $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 / Year
