[Job Summary]
Our company is looking for an experienced Accounting or Associate Accounting Manager to handle various accounting and tax related tasks. The candidate will have the opportunity to earn additional responsibility and career development as the company grows.
[Job Description]
- Manage and oversee the daily operation of the accounting department, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile general ledger to each account’s statement on a regular basis.
- Assist with quarterly book closing and generate financial statements.
- Support the audit process and preparation of financial reports quarterly basis.
- Make journal or ledger entries if necessary.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods and policies to ensure all compliance obligations are fulfilled.
- Act as a point of contact between internal departments and accounting, serving as a liaison between accounting and external parties, including clients, suppliers, and banks.
- Manage company’s federal and state tax return schedules in compliance with laws and regulations.
- Review tax returns prepared by external accountant to ensure all information on the return is accurate.
- Research company’s tax issues to identify solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of IPO and listing procedures on KOSDAQ Market.
- Support Korean SEC reporting.
- Special projects and other tasks as assigned.
[Qualifications]- Bachelor’s Degree required; prefer concentrations in business/finance/accounting.
- 7-12 years of related work experience preferably in accounting, finance, or relevant field.
Skills & Requirements:- Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP; K-IFRS and K-SOX experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with computers, especially Quick Book (over 3 years exp.) and MS Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when multitasking.
- Fluent (both written and verbal) in Korean and English.
