The Daily Sales Manager coordinates the accurate reporting of sales, cash, banking, and internal/external financials. The Manager oversees the Daily Sales and Accounts Receivable Teams for all properties assigned. Reports to the District Senior Controller. This position requires the ability to sift through the daily work sent from the various components, evaluate the accuracy of the work, compile an accurate and complete daily revenue report, and communicate the results to the appropriate parties. A thorough understanding of revenue management and daily banking is required.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the onsite and distance accounting teams for the region, including hiring, disciplinary action, PIP, goal-setting, and career progression.
- Maintain SOPs of all tasks and consistently look for improvements in processes to improve accuracy and efficiency within the role and team.
- Partner with the Operations Teams to ensure accurate and useful internal reporting. Assist with and/or complete external reporting where required.
- Balance daily sales in multiple systems. Enter and balance daily cash and banking. Partner with the Shared Services Cash and Banking Team to resolve variances and monitor over/short appropriately.
- Complete internal expenses/transfers and reconcile fuel vendor and fuel taxes monthly.
- Assist with end of month tasks including posting and auditing inventories, analyzing cost of sales, completing statistical reports, auditing revenue.
- Ability to travel to support properties within the region as needed. Very limited travel.
- Ability to work in an office atmosphere that requires a team effort to successfully complete the task.
- Ability to communicate in a professional and articulate manner.
- Will attain the ability to access and run reports on a daily basis from revenue systems at the Region’s properties that comprise Oracle Discoverer, Oracle Planning and Forecasting System, Motility, DockMaster Software, Springer Miller Systems (Host, POS, Touch), Retail Pro Software, Micros, Ruby Fuel Reporting, and other client specific systems.
- Will be responsible for maintaining balanced Inter-component accounts on a weekly basis.
- Each day will see the successful completion of the previous day’s revenue reporting.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Read, Speak, Write and Understand the English Language fluently.
- Previous experience in the bookkeeping or accounting field.
- High School Degree.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be over 18 with a valid driver’s license.
- Work in an office environment that entails weekly and monthly reporting deadlines.
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous accounting experience required.
- Associative Degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
