Position Title: Senior Analyst Fleet Strategy and Analysis
Position Summary
The Senior Analyst - Fleet Strategy and Analysis is responsible for the analysis, recommendations and execution of fleet related strategic projects and transactions including aircraft and engine purchases, leases, and sales. The Senior Analyst also provides analytical support for ongoing fleet programs, including aircraft modifications, entry into service and retirements. The role involves working collaboratively with Financial Planning and Analysis, Corporate Finance & Treasury, Network Planning, Legal, Operational Engineering, Product, Fleet Programs, Investor Relations and Technical Operations to manage the overall fleet plan to align with the corporate growth strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis and present recommendations to executive leadership for all fleet strategy functions.
- Develop materials for the fleet governance committee and occasionally facilitate meetings in order to support decision making.
- Analyze documentation of aircraft leases, aircraft and engine orders and sales.
- Analyze operational performance and capabilities of various fleet types.
- Support long-term fleet lifecycle management including acquisitions and retirements.
- Build business case analysis and ad hoc financial modeling for various fleet initiatives such as aircraft modifications, configuration options, and other fleet programs.
- Manage and administer all fleet related contracts.
- Own the pricing of aircraft deliveries and assist with the delivery process.
- Maintain and distribute regular fleet reports to various internal stakeholders.
- Manage the aircraft capital expenditures forecast and partner with Investor Relations on public updates.
- Partner with Corporate Finance on ownership analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience.
- Three (3) years of aviation finance or related experience.
- Strong financial modeling skills; including ability to conduct ROIC, NPV and ROI analyses.
- Strong ability to analyze data and present recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain short deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%).
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- MBA or other relevant graduate degree.
- Previous experience in aircraft finance and/or fleet management (OEM, bank, lessor or airline).
- Knowledgeable in aircraft technical components and maintenance contracts; ability to forecast technical expenses.
- Detailed knowledge of airline operating profitability, including operational costs such as station and landing fees, labor, fuel burn and distribution.
- Knowledge of aircraft performance characteristics including range and fuel burn analysis.
- Aircraft and engine negotiation and documentation experience.
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice.
- Able to maintain a professional appearance.
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $64,000.00 and $103,100.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
