The Opportunity
Our location in Abbott Park, IL, currently has an opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager, Nutrition Strategy and Cash Flow.
Reporting to the Director Finance, the Senior Finance Manager, Nutrition Strategy and Cash Flow will be responsible for the following Core Job Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Leadership:
- Lead and manage deliverables spanning across the organization across various levels and functions.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and/or provide financial support to strategic projects.
- Executive communication:
- Prepare and present strategic project proposals and/or status updates to senior management.
- Prepare and support executive messaging, while understanding your audience.
- Strategic FP&A Support: Support the division in activities related to business strategies, management/executive reporting, and presentations by providing financial leadership, direction, and analysis, while working closely with senior business leaders.
- Serve as dedicated financial support to the Division’s Strategy team.
- Lead development of Finance deliverables for OEM (5-year plan).
- Lead and/or support executive leadership presentations (including BOD, Corp Officer).
- Perform and/or coordinate other ad hoc work as needed.
- Balance Sheet and Cash Flow: Lead the consolidation and Total Division analytics for Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Manufacturing divisions to develop and prepare holistic analytics of the balance sheet and connection to P&L movements.
- Support Cash Flow improvement projects.
- This position manages one Supervisor of Finance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING
Required:
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis, and/or financial auditing; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- 10-15 years of financial experience with a focus on financial planning and analysis.
- Candidate/incumbent should possess:
- Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately communicate with others.
- Ability to interact with finance and non-finance professionals at all levels.
- Demonstrated initiative, analytical thinking, critical-thinking, problem-solving skills.
- Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; displays socially and professionally appropriate behavior.
- Ability to operate independently with broad scope of responsibility under minimal supervision and under challenging time constraints.
- Ability or aptitude to apply in-depth knowledge of financial processes, accounting methodologies and division-specific operations.
- Ability to facilitate interpretation and understanding of data, identify risks, develop recommendations and implement solutions.
- Ability or aptitude to utilize computer software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) to complete tasks.
- Ability or aptitude to manage cross-functional projects and work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred:
- Strengths in strategic planning, execution of those plans and cross-functional project management.
- Multi geographical experience also preferred along with large site experiences.
- Advanced communication and leadership skills required.
- Ability to balance between the strategic perspective and proper attention to detail when a hands-on approach is required.
- Wide-ranging financial experience, including planning, reporting, and controls.
