The Tax Analyst is responsible for preparing both for-profit and non-profit tax filings (990, 1120, 1065, etc.) for all entities of organizations, ensuring that all documents are filed timely and accurately (50%). The role also involves effective communication with state and federal taxing agencies (15%), conducting research on tax theory and positions relating to and/or impacting the organization’s entities, and effectively communicating the conclusions (25%), along with other related tasks and assignments (10%).
Key Responsibilities
- Research tax theory and positions, and apply them to the organization’s specific needs.
- Recommend tax strategies by researching federal, state, and local taxation issues in a proactive manner.
Qualifications
3+ years of relevant work experience required.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
CPA or MBA preferred.
Experience working with tax software packages (CCH and/or BNA tax Research, GoSystems, etc.).
