Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, you’ll be the mastermind behind our actuarial ratemaking and loss reserving functions. Plus, you’ll provide top-notch analytical support for all our corporate-wide business activities and decisions. Ready to lead and make a splash?
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ratemaking Rockstar: Lead the ratemaking process, including rate indications, risk classification, rating plan design, and competitor analysis.
- Loss Reserving Guru: Produce loss reserving analysis to keep us on track.
- Collaborative Champ: Work with other functional areas to execute rate reviews and gain regulatory approval for rate filings.
- Actuarial Innovator: Provide thought leadership by researching and advocating for the best techniques, methodologies, and practices.
- Team Builder: Create a high-performing team of engaged employees, coach and provide feedback, delegate tasks, manage workflow, and evaluate performance.
- Planning Pro: Support corporate operational planning by producing premium and loss projections.
- Tech Whiz: Provide technical and analytical assistance to other functional areas to support corporate goals.
- Statistical Star: Assist with statistical reporting to regulatory organizations and corporate partners.
- Lifelong Learner: Continue professional development to maintain actuarial credentials.
- All-Rounder: Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:
- Expertise: Extensive knowledge of actuarial ratemaking techniques, especially for catastrophe-exposed personal and commercial property lines.
- Skills: Thorough knowledge of reserving techniques and basic accounting principles.
- Tools: Advanced knowledge of industry data sources and tools.
- Regulatory Savvy: Solid history of working effectively with regulators.
Education/Experience:
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in actuarial science, math/applied math, statistics/applied statistics, or economics.
- Experience: Minimum of six years in property/casualty actuarial roles.
- Credentials: Associateship (ACAS) in the Casualty Actuarial Society.
