Cost Accounting Technician is a part of Global Cost Accounting team. The new team member will be located in Katowice, member of 5 people team: 3 analysts and 2 technicians.
Will be reporting to Cost Accounting Supervisor located also in Katowice.
Cost Accounting key responsibility is to ensure the proper valuation of Rockwell Automation’s Worldwide Inventory as well as proactively ensure the accuracy of individual plant manufacturing process transactions by monitoring activity and initiating corrective action.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains a complete and systematic set of transactions for cost accounting in SAP system in particular.
- Timely and properly define the standard cost of materials for plants in various regions.
- Performs ongoing verification of costing issues and propose solutions.
- Verifies, reports and escalates any discrepancies related to standard cost and address them to the adequate departments.
- Respond to inquiries from the plants.
- Analyzes yearly system changes and actively participates in yearly process of standard cost update.
- Assists in month end close process.
- Generates and prepares weekly and monthly reports.
- Assists in physical inventory audits.
- Responsible mainly to assure that new materials get a standard cost (price).
- Monitoring changes in material master settings by different users and contact them to assure proper data in the system.
- Responds to plant inquiries which are sent to CA group mailbox and prepares several weekly and monthly reports needed for Cost Accounting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting.
- Minimum 1 year experience in accounting or finance department (AP, AR, GL).
- Excellent communication skills both in Polish and English.
- Ability for periodic short-term travel for conducting physical inventory audits.
