Allegiance is seeking a seasoned and motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, performing comprehensive reconciliations, and leading the preparation of various financial reports.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online.
- Supervise the recording and classification of daily bank and credit card transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
- Ensure all financial data is entered accurately and timely, maintaining the highest standards of precision.
Month-End Close:
- Lead the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform and review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare and post manual journal entries as necessary, ensuring thorough documentation and accuracy.
Quarterly and Annual Close:
- Support the Controller in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Assist in the coordination of external requests, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all closing activities.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights into business performance.
- Prepare detailed ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide detailed variance analysis.
- Recommend corrective actions based on financial analysis to meet financial goals.
Compliance:
- Ensure strict compliance with US GAAP principles and company accounting policies.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Stay current with accounting regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with the operations team to reconcile inventory records accurately.
- Assist in the valuation of inventory and calculation of cost of goods sold.
- Ensure accurate reporting and management of inventory data.
- Review and approve vendor invoices and payments.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and reconcile vendor statements.
- Assist in negotiations with vendors to optimize payment terms and conditions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, with a preference for experience in a manufacturing or e-commerce environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
