Position Summary:
The Director of Accounting and Finance Systems is responsible for the vision, implementation, and enhancement of Accounting and Finance systems and processes. This role collaborates across teams to work closely with IT and Accounting and Finance to research and recommend software solutions that drive accurate accounting and financial reporting. The Director of Accounting and Finance Systems champions best practices and transformative projects to elevate the organization’s accounting and financial systems infrastructure.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
– Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Accounting and Finance systems in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices
– Lead a team in managing the integrity, security, and compliance of financial data across all Accounting and Finance platforms
– Partner with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure adherence with regulatory requirements and to internal controls related to financial systems and data management
– Collaborate with IT professionals and other cross-functional stakeholders to address technical challenges, resolve system issues, and optimize system performance
– Manage cross-functional projects to enhance system capabilities, streamline workflows, and improve the accuracy and accessibility of data
– Proactively identify opportunities for enhancements and improvements by remaining current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes
Job Specifications:
– Bachelor’s degree
– At least ten (10) years of relevant experience
– Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
– Advanced knowledge of legal industry Accounting and Finance software applications
– Knowledge of project and program management
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Strong analytical skills
– Strong organizational skills
– Strong motivational and presentation skills
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
