ACCOUNTING & FINANCE OPERATIONS MANAGER:

This role will also have a responsibility to build key financial process capabilities & controls across the organization’s many subsidiaries while being the roll up your sleeves partner and advisor in day-to-day decision making.

Each day, Jushi team members continue to grow, cultivate, process, and manufacture a comprehensive suite of cannabis brands under the names: The Bank, The Lab, Tasteology, Nira + Medicinals, and Sèche, which are addressing a wide variety of consumer and patient needs across multiple states.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead corporate accounting team managing operations for 25+ entities as well as consolidation with specific emphasis on payroll accounting, corporate allocations of prepaids, and centrally paid invoices. Partner with the Financial Reporting team to deliver the consolidation and focus on intercompany reconciliations.
- Coordinate with the Operational Accounting Manager on cash reconciliations.
- Prepare, manage, and deliver quality month-end close process/results within the deadline and fully documented for audit.
- Support the SVP Accounting monthly to deliver Balance Sheet and P&Ls for all entities; have detailed familiarity with the financial statements of operating entities in cooperation with the Operational and Shared Services teams.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies to ensure adherence to accounting and reporting requirements.
- Cross-functional leadership of Continuous Improvement projects as assigned.
- Interface with internal customers on complex or significant contracts to implement accounting policies and processes. Assess complex contractual commitments in draft form to advise on accounting treatment/implications.
- Assess internal control requirements, identify and communicate internal control issues and opportunities.
- Manage the external audit process for areas of responsibility.
- Coordinate and compile requests for interim review and year-end audit external audits.
- Assist with the preparation of all required tax filings by outside accountants.
- Collaborate closely with the Operational Controller and Accounting Manager to gain a complete understanding of the general ledger impact of related transactions as well as allocations and allocation methodology across retail and manufacturing operating entities.
- Member of the Accounting team responsible for delivery of SOX program and controls rollout.
- Accounting administrator for Blackline for all Accounting teams (Corporate, GP, and Retail).
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience in building the financial organization and related capabilities of growing/scaling companies.
- 10+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience in preferably retail or product manufacturing in a publicly traded company.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and consistent follow-through on assigned tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting required and MBA preferred.
- CPA certification designation preferred.
- Advanced understanding of Blackline, proficient in Excel; experience working in Sage Intacct desired.
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley reporting and documentation.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and public company disclosure requirements strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to efficiently handle ambiguity and change; able to act as a change agent.
- Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner.
