About the role:
Sound Physicians, a leader in improving quality and reducing the cost of healthcare for patients in the communities we serve, is looking for a dynamic, experienced, and organized self-starter to join our Finance Operations team as a Senior Financial Analyst focused on hospital medicine services . This is a challenging role with the potential to make a large impact on the service line.
The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with the senior leadership team and other business leaders in analyzing results, evaluating potential growth opportunities, and preparing budgets to drive improvements across the service line. The position reports to the Regional Director of Finance and will often interact with the regional and service line leadership.
The Details: This opportunity is remote, work from home, and will require 1-2 weeks of travel per year.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Working closely with Accounting and Operations to ensure that financial statements accurately reflect operational activities and contract terms
- Leading, building and performing complex financial analysis in areas such as site and service line historic performance, projecting future results, identifying potential opportunities and risks, etc.
- Assisting in the budget process, including working with business leaders to identify trends and quantify financial impacts in order to maximize site-level profitability and Sound’s value to its hospital partners
- Preparing pricing model and analysis for contract amendments, renewals and business development opportunities
- Assisting in the preparation of board materials and ad-hoc C-suite / board / investor requests

Knowledge:
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting
- Highly analytical, detail oriented and organized
- Proven ability to develop, define and execute complex financial analysis
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting including but not limited to financial statements, return on investment, variance analysis, etc.
- Demonstration of cross-functional collaboration and ability to execute work across numerous functional areas
Experience:
- 5 - 8 years related experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting or consulting
