Job Summary
The Prospect Research Analyst I assists in identifying and providing research information on individual, corporation, and foundation major gift prospects to assist individuals within and outside the University who conduct University advancement programs. This research is vital to successful advancement activities of the President, Vice President for University Advancement, Associate Vice President for Development, Deans, and Development Officers in the University's colleges, schools, and other divisions.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge
- Prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals both orally and in writing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Work effectively in a team environment and with various backgrounds and experiences.
- Must possess strong editing skills and be detail oriented.
- Strong computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
- Self-motivated and well organized.
- Must have some research-related coursework.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred experience in prospect research, development, library research, or information related field preferably in a higher education environment. Knowledge of the range of resources available to prospect researchers and the ability to apply those resources in an organized and purposeful manner.
