Job Description:
As Cluster Financial Controller, you will assist in preparing, in conjunction with the General Manager and other department heads, the annual budget, capital budgets and the rolling forecast. You will establish the annual budget preparation procedures and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and complete financial and management reports on a timely basis to hotel management, corporate office and owners.
- Analyze and interpret financial data and communicate meaningful variations in operations.
- Assist department heads in developing and implementing corrective action plans.
- Implement benchmarking techniques to enhance revenues and improve productivity.
- Ensure cash flow is adequate to meet operational needs.
- Manage the hotel accounting department and internal control systems.
- Protect the owners' and management company’s interests in hotel assets.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of a single chart of accounts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and contractual arrangements.
- Analyze balance sheet accounts and prepare monthly performance analysis reports.
- Manage all facets of the capital process and ensure proper tracking of fixed assets.
- Ensure compliance with all laws and fiscal regulations affecting financial matters.
- Safeguard lease and contract documents affecting financial status.
- Recommend methods and procedures to improve accuracy of working schedules and forecasts.
- Develop and monitor credit and collection procedures.
- Be a highly motivated team player with strong accounting, communication, and analytical skills.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management and/or Accounting.
- Familiarity with financial systems: OPERA, MICROS, SUN, FUTURE LOG.
- Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in a senior finance position.
