General Summary
As Senior Accountant, you will be a seasoned accountant that demonstrates expert knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with GAAP, as well as an ability to grasp company financial policies and protocols.

You will sit directly with the Accounting team, work in close collaboration with the Royalty and Sales teams, and report to the Corporate Controller.
Core Functions
- Support the month, quarter, and year-end close process.
- Perform variance analysis and prepare account reconciliations.
- Work closely with the royalty department to set up accounting processes involving new distribution and joint venture agreements.
- Oversee the timely preparation and administration of monthly and quarterly distribution statements.
- Review monthly financial reporting packages from international subsidiaries and import international data into Netsuite.
- Assist with annual financial audit and tax prep (Personal Property and Income).
- Perform more advanced accounting transactions around royalties, including revenue accruals, payables, and advances.
- Sales and Use tax administration with Avalara.
- Coordinate accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting team and other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting, particularly in aspects of financial reporting and account reconciliations.
- Expert familiarity with Microsoft Excel with the ability to manage and manipulate high levels of data exports out of financial systems to assist in both internal and external reporting obligations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
- Team oriented with the ability to effectively communicate between all levels and departments of the organization.
- Intellectual curiosity; ready to roll up sleeves.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desired Qualifications
- NetSuite, Avalara and Concur experience.
- Print and licensing royalty experience.
- Public accounting experience.
- CPA or CPA candidate.

Compensation
Peaksware is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $56,805 - $94,675. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus.

Work Environment
