Job Description
Your Role
You will work within the Business Support team as an Analyst resource proactively providing support and custody service oversight on our internal customer base globally. This individual will be trained to support different Investment Teams and/or production processes, forming partnerships with key business areas and functions. The incumbent will be liaising with Compliance, Legal, Investment Centers, third parties, and regulators. An awareness of the surrounding industry infrastructure, technologies, and regulatory environment will be an essential element within the role. The incumbent will be expected to represent the department and firm in a professional manner both internally and externally.
You will be responsible for:
- Support of big strategic programs like securities lending operations, new trading market openings, our affiliated broker program, custodian invoice review/reconciliation as well as trade support and oversight for our trust and stable value investment programs.
- Develop a deep understanding and awareness of regulatory and product requirements.
- Maintain all relevant policy and governance documentation; interpret and implement changes as required.
- Undertake in-depth analysis of data to support identifying trends, enhancing processes and procedures to mitigate any associated risks.
- Participate and potentially coordinate internal and external meetings with global partners, including service reviews with custodians and internal groups like compliance, legal, client Ops management, middle office.
- Review and enhance existing processes and procedures to meet changes in process, legislation, and regulations, complimentary to a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture.
- Assist with meeting key performance milestones and metrics to measure performance and identify trends, challenges, and opportunities on the team.
- As knowledge and experience develop, the candidate will participate in process automation projects and efficiency enhancements.
- Learn to identify risk(s) and how to recommend mitigation and/or preventive measures.
- Provide support to the Supervisor and Snr. Manager(s) of the team.
The qualifications you bring:
- Minimum 3-7 years of industry experience.
- Financial markets and custody expertise, understanding of markets & frameworks, able to interpret key information/requirements, ability to present to business partners.
- Market knowledge, e.g., Equities, Derivatives, Financing, and Lending.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, or equivalent work experience.
- Routinely uses sound business judgement to support decision making, actively providing input & knowledge to influence decisions, strong analytical approach.
- Proactively identify the challenges & potential opportunities in the environment.
- Innovative approach, technologically competent, adapt to new tools and approaches.
- Understanding of local/global regulatory obligations as appropriate in the context of it impacting the business requirement/service provision.
