Position Overview
The Staff Accountant will support the Pro Sports & Experiences Accounting operations of the company. Duties include assisting with accounts receivables, creating journal entries for recurring transactions, and performing month-end account reconciliations in compliance with financial policies and procedures, including relevant internal control documentation/SoX compliance. This position fulfills an integral transactional and reporting function in the Pro Sports & Experience Accounting group. The position reports to the Pro Sports & Experiences Senior Accountant & Finance Manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording varying transaction data.
- Create customer A/R Aging reports for management review.
- Reconcile/Perform Cash and Credit Card receipts reconciliation.
- Assist in the balance sheet account reconciliation.
- Perform routine accounting tasks in line with departmental and operational deadlines.
- Audit all work to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain all records and files in an organized manner.
You Have These
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- A foundation in Excel and ability to quickly learn new software.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to investigate and resolve issues.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills – strong planning skills, ability to work as part of a dynamic team, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong desire to learn and grow in an expanding organization.
- Continually strive for self-development and discovering better means of accomplishing both personal and professional goals.
- Will be expected to work periodically on weekends or evenings, as needed.
Travel: Must be adaptable with work and travel schedule and be available to travel for work during holidays.
