This position supports the Enterprise Data & Analytics organization and has primary responsibility of building enterprise class Analytical solutions. This position is responsible for defining and developing core capabilities in support of an Analytics platform. The ideal candidate will work with the various business units and stakeholders across the organization to develop a roadmap for analytics and to establish to enable capabilities such as data democratization, self-service, analytics and AI/ML solutions for the various stakeholders across the firm. This role will require extensive contact with all management levels and other internal customers. Manages a team of Data Analytics Engineers responsible for building solutions which are flexible, performant and scalable. The core team is based out of our headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL, however we are open to our Denver, CO site as well (Hybrid workstyle).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Responsible for developing an Analytics roadmap for the organization.
- Responsible for building/executing on the Analytics, AI/ML roadmap and broadly engaging with the business to identify opportunities which have significant impact.
- Collaborates with multiple teams, understands the overall enterprise Data Landscape and executes on delivering capabilities like Data democratization, self-service, data literacy, data preparation.
- Rationalizes the various BI/Analytics tools across the organization and establishes standards and guidance for the appropriate tools to use.
- Establishes an Analytics and AI/ML onboarding process, rationalizes the proposed solutions by the various IT and business stakeholders and provides a leadership role to help the business and IT units deliver on the use cases.
- Work with executive leadership and key stakeholders to serve as a trusted partner in the delivery of business outcomes and value leveraging data and analytics while also informing enterprise and business data and analytics strategy.
- Champion an enterprise data and analytics culture and operating principles that improve data quality, consistency, accessibility, decision making, use, and stewardship.
- Helps the team by being hands on as needed. Expectation is that the leader is a thought leader and visionary in the area of Analytics and has a breadth of experience in delivering Analytics, AI/ML solutions.
- Leads projects to successful completion as defined by predetermined project success criteria including those established by the business, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Focus on designing and developing highly scalable, efficient and reliable data analytics infrastructure to scale and compute to meet business objectives.
- Drives IT solutions to ensure they meet the business needs balanced with a pragmatic and integrated approach to the design of technical solutions.
- Focuses on workforce development and ensures that a strong team is built.
- Remains up to date on key technology, business and industry trends.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QualificationsExperience and Skills:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and ten plus (10) years of relevant experience including management or leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience with a breadth of Analytics, Data Integration, Data Management, AI/ML solutions and tools/technologies.
- Experience with Analytical tools/products such as ThoughtSpot, Qlik, Tableau to develop Analytical solutions.
- Experience with data preparation solutions like Alteryx, AWS Glue.
- Experience with AI/ML tools such as AWS Sagemaker to help with establishing a platform for Advanced Analytics.
- Expert level experience in developing a universal semantic layer and a data access layer to enable easy access to data to the various IT and business group.
- Strong understanding of Data Architecture principles, ability to model the data in a fashion which is suited for the business, ability to optimize data storage and access, and most importantly deep understanding of the overall Data in an enterprise and ability to understand Data in the context of Business goals.
- Expert/Advanced level experience with Data Warehouse and Data Lake/Lake House concepts.
- Expert/Advanced level experience with Data Lake/Lake House architecture and platforms such as AWS S3, AWS Redshift, Snowflake.
- Experience or understanding of programming languages like Python, Java.
- Experience with Big Data Technologies is preferred.
- Financial Services experience highly preferred.
- Experience in the enterprise implementation, leadership experience, strategic planning, strong business acumen.
