You will report directly to the Divisional Controller, with a line to Executive Leadership, being hands-on with all of the day-to-day financial accounting and analysis functions. Senior Corporate Accountant Responsibilities:
- Ensure timeliness of the month-end close process and completeness and accuracy of accounting records in accordance with US GAAP.
- Perform and properly document general journal entries.
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements for month end Monitoring internal control procedures.
- Prepare audit selections and work papers for auditor review.
- Produce ad hoc reporting as requested.
- Analyze signed contracts and completed orders for completeness, accuracy, and compliance to company bookings and revenue recognition guidelines (POC/Percent of Completion).
- Monitor customers' invoicing, credit memos, receivables, and collections.
- Partner with Operations and Business Optimization teams to coordinate, monitor and record physical inventories, including participation in physical inventory.
- Calculate labor and overhead allocations to specific production jobs.
- Guide clerical staff in Accounts Receivable by coordinating activities and answering questions.
- Manage daily activities of Accounts Payable staff, including weekly vendor payments.
- Fixed Asset Schedules Maintenance.
- Compile annual personal property information by location/entity.
Senior Corporate Accountant Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Financial analysis skills and working knowledge of US GAAP.
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience with a company that carries inventory.
- ERP experience.
- Strong MS Excel and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
