SUMMARY
This position is responsible for (a) providing leadership in defining the product pricing strategies for the business through the collection, analysis and evaluation of key market and financial data, (b) innovating / transforming processes, tools and strategies for continuously driving Revenue and Profitability growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Support the Pricing leadership in developing models and strategies to optimize new and/or existing product / product line pricing and to implement and monitor those actions to mitigate risk and to improve the win rate, gross margin, and profitability of the company.
- Provide disciplined analytics through the collection and transformation of key data impacting revenue and profitability.
- Analyze market dynamics, pricing trends, market opportunities and sales margins to build better procedures and tools for pricing and quoting.
- Analyze costs, competitive pressures, market dynamics and internal financial objectives to drive impactful pricing on an annual basis (Pricebooks) to our dealer network for both Standard & Non-Standard products that maximize revenue and profitability.
- Prepare International bid proposals by setting intercompany transfer pricing between legal entities so that we deliver a highly competitive bid price to the end customer while meeting revenue and margin targets per business unit.
- Construct and monitor tracking measures regarding the Sales and margin performance of pricing actions.
- Develop price sensitivity models and reporting tools enabling for quickly identification and response to pricing opportunities in the market.
- Develop processes for timely review of Non-Standard (ZZ) product costs to avoid margin erosion.
- Create systems and business processes to continuously monitor unit cost variances (PPV) and incorporating those within the annual Pricebook activities.
- Champion continuous improvement processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance pricing effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 8 years in a role that provided leadership in margin expansion and development.
- Cross-functional experience in Pricing, Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Finance and/or Sales Operations.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuously improving processes and a Winning attitude.
- Well organized and flexible individual with outstanding customer focus while protecting the company’s bottom line.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal and external customers & suppliers.
- Proven history of teamwork and collaboration while demonstrating individual leadership and initiative.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Experience navigating and utilizing ERP systems and associated information flow (Syteline is a plus).
- Proficient in leveraging analytical tools such as Excel, Tableau and/or Power Bi.
- Experience in an industry with highly configurable products and understanding the impact on markets, customers, and the company.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree (BA/BS) in Finance, Marketing, Economics, Business or Mathematics, or training in construction management; and a minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training in the construction industry or a similar specialty manufacturing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Must have appropriate communication skills suitable for dealing with internal and external associates and customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to create basic formulas in Microsoft Excel.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
