Overview: As an Associate Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving corporate strategy and optimizing financial performance for our leading residential housing company operating in the vibrant US Southeast and Midwest regions. You will lead a talented team of financial analysts and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine financial models, forecasts, and analyses to support strategic initiatives, including market expansion, product development, and operational optimization.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and refine corporate strategy, leveraging financial analysis to identify growth opportunities, mitigate risks, and optimize business performance.
- Conduct comprehensive financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making, and quarterly forecasts aligned with corporate objectives and market dynamics.
- Participate in the annual strategic planning process, facilitating discussions on market trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities to inform strategic priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and analysis processes, leveraging automation and data visualization tools to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as leasing, operations, acquisitions, and marketing to develop key performance indicators (KPIs), performance metrics, and dashboards to monitor business performance and drive accountability.
- Provide strategic guidance and actionable recommendations to senior leadership based on financial insights, industry trends, and competitive benchmarks to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and shareholder value creation.
- Support M&A activities, including due diligence, financial modeling, synergy analysis, and integration planning, to evaluate potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CFA or CPA preferred.
- 2+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, management or strategic consulting roles, or related roles with a track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering actionable insights in a dynamic environment.
- Deep understanding of financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and valuation methodologies, with proficiency in Excel and financial planning software (e.g., Anaplan).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex financial data into strategic recommendations and actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and mentor a high-performing team in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Prior experience in the real estate, housing, or construction industry is a plus, but not required.
