Real Estate Development Non profit organization is looking for a Portfolio Manager with both accounting and finance background.
Responsibilities include:
- Work closely with Asset Managers on the monthly financial statements reviews of all assigned multi-family projects for variances between actual and budget, ensuring adequate escrow balances and accruals.
- Provide accounting guidance to Property Accountants on transactions necessary to correct account balances on the financial statements.
- Perform calculations for surplus cash flow, debt service coverage ratios and other metrics.
- Work with independent Auditors on the year-end property financial audits, project cost certification, developer and partnership tax returns to ensure accuracy of the financial data.
- Perform partner’s tax basis capital account analysis utilizing the partnership agreements and knowledge of the relevant internal revenue codes.
- Participate in the annual property budget review process by providing operational trend to budget analysis.
- Work closely with Property Management, Asset Management and Development teams with pre- and post-acquisition activities/integration of assets into the company’s portfolio.
- Maintain and track reporting requirements for all syndicators, investors and financial institutions.
- Handle all tax related correspondence with the Treasury Department and various Department of Revenue.
- Organize, track and provide financial analysis on the financial impact of real estate investments including REITs.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- B.S. or B.A in Accounting or Finance required.
- 5+ years experience in real estate development or multi-family property management.
- CPA License required (Active).
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
