About the role
This position has continuous, ongoing recruitment efforts for current and future openings. Applying for this role will gain you consideration for all roles within this opening which you are qualified for.
Our ISO/IATF 16949 auditors certify quality management systems for all manufacturers in the automotive supply chain worldwide for cars, their parts, components or systems. Our auditors are generally based from a home office allowing them to work independently as they travel to client sites while receiving a full complement of administrative support from our central office in Katy, TX. This position may be performed from any of our DNV offices with a Hybrid work environment in AZ, OH, PA, TX, IL, MI, SC, NC, and Washington D.C.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform 3rd party ISO/IATF 16949 audits for North America and International clients.
- Document and report audit activities and results.
- Interact directly with clients at all levels of management in developing timely, complete, and accurate reports of their current level of compliance or implementation of their management system.
- Be assigned as a key customer project manager, coordinating audit projects with other DNV regions.
- Maintain a schedule of audit activity with clients.
- Provide timely and accurate reviews of client corrective actions and closure.
- Maintain appropriate audit credentials and pursue advancement of those credentials and other related credentials as needed.

About you
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 or more years as a 3rd party IATF Lead Auditor.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Current IATF Lead Auditor certification for ISO/IATF16949 and possess a 5-ADP#.
- Able to lift and carry up to 10 lbs. in addition to transporting one’s own luggage for multiple-day travel and push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel with that which is lifted, carried, or transported.
- Able to walk and stand for up to 4 hours at a time and maneuver throughout multiple levels of client sites either by stairs or elevator.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and can rent and drive a car and travel on public conveyances when required.
- Must be able to travel up to 100% of the time, including mostly overnight stays throughout the U.S.; often involving travel outside of normal working hours and on weekends.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
