Lead Compensation Analyst
Job Description
Fragomen is searching for a Lead Compensation Specialist/Analyst reporting to the Director of Global Compensation. Responsible for research and analysis with regards to compensation for legal and corporate staff departments. In this position, you will develop, analyze and review compensation programs, policies, and procedures to be responsive to the company's goals and competitive practices. You will also be responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
This role will have a hybrid work arrangement (2 days/week) in either our Atlanta, Miami or Pittsburgh offices.
As a Lead Compensation Specialist/Analyst, you will:
- Work closely with Human Resource staff to collect job data and consistently manage the job-leveling / job architecture process.
- Price jobs using market data and internal data to ensure consistency in the pay structure across the entire organization.
- Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives.
- Develop techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting data.
- Conduct exempt and nonexempt salary surveys to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
- Support the annual compensation review process including developing & delivering training to users.
- Ensure company compliance with country-specific regulations and laws, including reporting requirements.
- Monitor cost differentials, taxes for equalization, and country-specific incentives and variable pay.
- Analyze country-specific data and relevant market trends, develop salary structures and market pricing recommendations.
- Review and monitor employee pay and recommend reviews if necessary.
- Keep apprised of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
- Contribute to broader global projects as required.
Let’s talk if you have the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and/or equivalent professional work experience required.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a global or multi-country consultative compensation role.
- Experience in the legal services or professional services field is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with HR Partners and management.
- Ability to maintain discretion with extremely confidential data.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e., ability to create complex formulas, charts and dashboards) and other Office products.
- Workday proficiency strongly preferred.
