Rapiscan Systems | AS&E, an OSI Systems Company is seeking an Accounting Supervisor based out of Billerica, MA.

***This hybrid position is located in Billerica, MA - 3 days per week onsite and 2 days per week telecommuting.***
Responsibilities
- Ensures accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
- Assist in leading the month-end financial close process for all U.S. Security entities to ensure an accurate and timely close.
- Lead all intercompany accounting activities for all Security U.S. entities.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations that range in complexity.
- Review and prepare payroll-related journal entries for all Security U.S. entities.
- Provide training and guidance for accounting staff.
- Assist and support the Security Adjustment entity.
- Assist in preparing and distributing monthly internal reports on a timely basis.
- Assist in year-end audits and quarterly reviews by preparing schedules and other necessary data.
- Assist in developing and implementing new procedures and features to enhance the department's workflow.
- Work with shared-services accounting to ensure AP transactions are properly posted and the AP ledger is closed monthly.
- Responsible for analyzing monthly product line financial statements, with a focus on gross margin accuracy and overhead expense trends.
- Participate in all financial and internal control compliance audits to ensure a strong SOX-compliant control environment.
- Support management with special projects.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or commensurate experience required.
- At least 7 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role strongly desired.
- Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting concepts.
- Strong accounting background, including thorough knowledge of revenue recognition principles, manufacturing/standard costing, and project accounting.
- Ability to multitask and perform against challenging deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Outstanding reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Strong Excel user with a high level of proficiency in other MS Office products required.
- Experience with Microsoft D365 is desired but not required.
- Must organize/ prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects, and function effectively as a team member.
