Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Senior EHS Analyst. This role is based out of our Greenwood, SC location.
Responsible for assisting with the implementation and deployment of all MESH initiatives, working directly with front line leaders, group leaders, engineering, factory production employees and ATS maintenance services. Responsible for compliance to OSHA guidelines and environmental/permit regulated compliance standards which will require close project leadership with Manufacturing Engineering. Responsible for providing safety training and guidance. Lead regulatory activities and support Operations in incident investigation activities.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year.
What you’ll do:
- Supports site in achieving EHS targets & objectives. Supports development, maintenance and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
- Facilitates risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Supports site leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks. Engages all shift and communicates updates on daily basis.
- Facilitate engagement of site MESH Team in ownership of the MESH elements.
- Works with leadership team and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
- Uses established Corporate and site specific data processes to manage injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, action items and other pertinent information. Examples include:
- MESH Prism: Injury/Illness
- Benchmark: Action planning
- Quality Management: Document Control
- OnSolve: Emergency Notifications
- Mission Metering: Water management
- DHEC ePermitting: Air and Stormwater Permitting
- Support EHS training development in Eaton University for Manufacturing thru creation of training matrices, lesson plans and competency evaluations to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to effective completion.
- Work with site leadership team and facilities to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.
- Support incident investigations, validating entries in MESH Prism and Benchmark to ensure on time closure and escalation of corrective actions.
- Assist with process checks for all facets of Operations, not just EHS, to provide continuous improvement for the business as a whole.
- Support ISO 14001 compliance.
- Lead site-wide activities to support Eaton’s Zero Incident Culture for both Safety and Quality.
- Lead Emergency Response Team.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in environmental, health and safety program management.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or environmental discipline.
- Experience managing OSHA & ISO compliance.
- EHS experience with a focus in risk management.
- CAD expertise for layouts and risk mapping.
Skills:
- Comprehension of industry, local, state, and country regulatory requirements.
- Strong organizational and team-building skills.
- Adept at utilization of company-wide system for reporting Operational data and information.
- Ability to lead and support cross-functional teams.
- Ability to integrate EHS with other functions.
- Ability to act as an agent of change; effective in enabling and driving change.
- Deliver communications with clarity, impact and passion and tailored to the audience.
