As the Merchandising Analyst for Tobacco, your role is to negotiate gross profit opportunities and sales programs with the vendor community.
Job Description
You will contribute by:
Negotiating gross profit buying opportunities with vendors (buys/slotting/DPS/etc.) while maximizing bill out inventory profit (last buys before increases/bracket buys/alternate sourcing).
Negotiating and executing promotional merchandising programs with vendors (ads/food show/block buys) including national merchandising.
Managing proper execution of reconciliation of vendor incentives (quarterly, monthly, prepay, OI) in order to ensure accuracy and proper timeliness from vendor community.
Setting up and maintaining item and vendor data integrity (pricing/item accuracy/item changes/item assortment/category marketing info/lost margin resolution).
Studying and anticipating commodity changes to maximize revenue.
Assisting vendors and buyers with dead and excess inventory resolution.
Interfacing with outside C&S departments as well as retail customers for resolutions, IMS-Vendor relations, and Prompt- AVS resolutions.
Acting as the division representative for specific weekly company conference calls.
Coordinating food shows; Merchandising key account contact / other retail contact.
Coordination vendor trade relations; tobacco program planning; trainer for C&S personnel.
Ensuring all merchandising activities comply with legal and regulatory standards, including advertising restrictions and age verification requirements.
Staying updated on changes in tobacco regulations and adjusting strategies as needed.

We’re searching for candidates with:
Basic computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Negotiation, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
