Senior Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Sr. Staff Accountant to assist Unitemp's Controller with the day-to-day oversight for accounting and treasury operations. This role will also interact routinely with business leaders across all functions and will be a key role in the Accounting team.
Responsibilities:
- Compiles and analyzes financial information, enters journal entries into the general ledger accounts, reconciles account balances and bank statements
- Maintains complete accounting schedules and work papers
- Assist with annual budget and ongoing variance analysis
- When necessary, proactively follows-up with department leaders to obtain information
- Maintains a focus on accuracy and timeliness in all efforts and communicates effectively with Controller to understand deadlines and prioritization
- Supports month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
- Ensures accounting policies and processes are accurately documented
- Recommends ways to improve efficiency
- Assists with annual audit-related requests
Qualifications:
- At least 3-5 years of proven experience as accountant
- Hands-on experience with ERP software packages
- MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Construction industry accounting experience is required
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant is preferred
