Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for more complex tax planning, forecasting, and compliance responsibilities. Activities may include complying with tax reporting requirements of various government jurisdictions in a manner that minimizes tax liabilities or researching tax issues and developing effective tax minimization strategies. Supports achievement of business goals by working on more complex activities or projects with others within the unit and with partners. Leads projects and coordinates resources. May provide supervision to a small staff. Can manage partner relationships.
Responsible for federal, state, and other tax compliance. Other responsibilities include researching technical tax issues impacting compliance filings, responding to IRS and state requests, and identifying simplification opportunities within the tax compliance processes. The candidate will have direct communication with associates with varying levels of experience throughout the enterprise (Corporate Tax, Finance, Technology, Operations, etc.), and great communication and teamwork skills are critical to success.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of public accounting firm or industry experience
- Federal and State Income/Franchise tax compliance experience
- Attention to detail
- Strong oral communication skills
- Ability to analyze US GAAP accounting and tax laws
- Extensive experience with MS Excel
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a dynamic environment to meet internal and external deadlines
