The Marina Manager, under the direction of the Senior Operations Manager, Active Capital Ltd., manages the day-to-day operations of the Cayman Island’s Yacht Club, and is responsible for the management of staff and facilities as well as undertaking a customer facing role with tenants.
Duties: include but are not limited to the following:
- Business development and sales with regards to the marina.
- Planning and organising the work of staff including delivering safe systems of work for personnel.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures, rules and regulations and work standards of the Marina.
- Managing a stock control system of all supplies and consumables.
- Overseeing the maintenance of all vehicles and equipment.
- Responsible for all debt collection and accounts receivable.
- Overseeing the assignment of slips, the collection of the deposits and slip rental and related fees received at the Marina and ensuring the proper procedures for cash handling and the dissemination of statements and receipts are implemented in order to account for all revenue collected at the marina.
- Inspecting and initiating maintenance requests for the repair and upkeep of the marina facilities.
- Assisting in the enforcement of rules and regulations governing the operation of the marina.
- Assisting in the planning and overseeing any special events originating at the marina.
- Communicating and liaising with third parties as necessary, such as Immigration and Custom officials, OfReg officials, fuel suppliers and representatives of the landlord.
- Carrying out a disaster management role in the event of any emergency.
Requirements:
- An internationally recognised marina management qualification
- Ten years of marina management experience of a marina of a similar size
- Excellent leadership and personnel management skills
- Ten years of proven business development experience
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong attention to detail
- Strong relationship building skills and the ability to establish rapport and influence others.
- A clean driving license and the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
- Health & Safety knowledge and experience
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions as well as evenings and weekends.
- Sufficient strength and stamina to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- First Aid qualifications including CPR and AED certification
Salary: CI$60,000 - CI$70,000 per year
