Assist with preparation of appropriate justifications for meetings, selection of meeting sites, identification of travel requirements, coordination of facility needs, and maintenance of attendance lists.
Use spreadsheets, presentation applications, and databases to efficiently automate the program planning process.
Prepare and issue informational memos, plans, reports, and other information to participants.
Determine the best approach for presenting program and management data to management officials.

GS-07:
Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience must be described for each grade level advertised. The specialized experience requirements for this position are: Qualifying experience for GS-07 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-05 which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience assisting in coordinating logistics for meetings, workshops, or seminars; preparing or reviewing program plans or reports; and producing documents using software systems.

Education: 1 full year of graduate-level education if related to the position. Related degrees include Business Administration, Computer Science, or Communications.
OR
SUPERIOR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT (SAA): Completion of a bachelor's degree, with Superior Academic Achievement (S.A.A.). Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, as described above. S.A.A. is based on (1) A grade point average of B (a GPA of 3.0 or higher) for all completed undergraduate courses, or those completed in the last 2 full years of undergraduate study; OR (2) A grade point average of B (a GPA of 3.5 or higher) for all courses in your major field of study, or those courses in your major completed in the last two years of undergraduate study; OR (3) Rank in the upper one-third of your class in the college, university, or major subdivision; OR (4) Membership in a national honor society (other than freshman honor societies) recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies.

The specialized experience requirements for this position are: Qualifying experience for GS-09 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-07 which is directly related to the work of this position, and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience coordinating logistics for meetings or conferences; tracking or reviewing expenditures related to travel or other program activities; and preparing or maintaining files on research programs.
OR
Education: A master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position. Related degrees include Business Administration, Computer Science, or Communications.

A qualifying combination of graduate level education and experience as described above.
