Summary of Position: The Director of Accreditation and Assessment is a key leadership role within the School of Integrated Learning and Development. This position supervises and manages all aspects of accreditation and assessment processes for the school and EPP, ensuring compliance with national standards, state regulations, and specialized professional association requirements. The Director is responsible for developing and managing assessment protocols and quality assurance systems for the EPP, as well as supervising the collection, analysis, and dissemination of programmatic data for the schools. They supervise, prepare, and submit required reports to accrediting bodies, state agencies, and university officials, while also guiding faculty and academic leadership in completing accreditation-related tasks and projects. The role involves overseeing data management systems, authoring mandated reports, and supervising both the School Effectiveness Analyst and student workers. Collaboration with department chairs on program reviews and action plans is a crucial aspect of the position. As an ex-officio member of the Education Coordinating Council, the Director contributes to broader educational initiatives across the university's EPP. This multifaceted role requires expertise in educational assessment, accreditation standards, and data analysis, combined with strong leadership and communication skills to effectively navigate the complex landscape of higher education quality assurance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assessment and Accreditation
- Provides knowledge and expertise to the EPP unit (SILD and SOTE) relative to national accreditation standards, state regulations, university assessment protocols, and reporting standards established by specialized professional associations (SPAs).
- Supervises, develops, and administrates assessment protocols and quality assurance systems for the EPP that ensure continuous accreditation, regulatory compliance, and readily accessible data to university personnel.
- Supervises programmatic data (common assessment, key assessment, OATs, etc.) collection, storage, and dissemination regularly so that school and university personnel may effectively make data-driven decisions.
- Supervises the preparation and timely submission of school and EPP reports as required by national accreditors, state agencies, national agencies, specialized professional associations, and university officials.
- Supervises, directs, and authors compliance efforts and reports for the EPP so that programs are delivered in accordance with accrediting bodies, state regulations, and parameters established by SPAs.
- Supervises and co-authors annual program reviews and Program Review Reports, and Action Plans with Department Chairs.
- Supervises and directs the faculty and academic leadership (EPP) on the completion of required tasks/projects (ex: accreditation reports, accreditation or SPA timelines, action plans, deliverables, curriculum/program revisions, data studies, etc.).
- Data and Reporting
- Supervises and authors all state/national and federal mandated reports for the EPP (ex: Title II, 1388, MRS, surveys).
- Administrates data management system for the school and EPP (ex. watermark, smartsheets, PowerBI, etc.).
- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervises the School Effectiveness Analyst.
- Hires and supervises Student Worker(s).
- Participates as an ex-officio member of the Education Coordinating Council.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education
- Master’s degree in education related program preferred.
Experience
- Reporting to national accreditation bodies for non-education professional fields (considered). Successful experience with CAEP and SPA reporting (preferred).
- Administrative assignments K-12 or higher education.
- Providing field placement for professional programs (parallel constructs to the field of education).
- Working in database systems and with information technology systems (ex. PowerBI, SQL, DAX, Power Query, Smartsheet, or similar).
- Experience with LMS systems preferred.
- Conceptualizing assessment and program evaluation.
