As a member of the Finance Administration team, you will join a talented and hardworking support department dedicated to managing fiscal resources to advance BakerRipley’s impact in the Houston region.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Finance Manager is responsible for managing multidisciplinary finance-related projects, budget and data analysis, ad hoc reporting, research, as well as operational and compliance-related reporting. The successful candidate will have exceptional business maturity, strong technical knowledge, superb software skills, and a curious persona for data mining.
Expected Outcomes
- Responsible for tracking, managing, and reporting on 10+ projects per year. Coordinate and communicate with all project stakeholders, internal and external.
- Responsible for research, analysis, and reporting on cost reduction projects on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Responsible for developing reporting formats, performance dashboards, and other means of conveying project performance objectives to the Chief Administrative Officer and Leadership Team.
Essential Functions
- Completes financial analysis for the Agency related to personnel, benefits, facility (construction and leases), IT software and hardware, commercial insurance, banking, retirement plan, and endowment areas.
- Presents financial analysis results to the Sr. Leadership Team.
- Presents value analysis and drives agency decisions.
- Provides regular budgetary and project activity reports of key milestone deliverables.
- Conducts research on cost savings and optimization ideas/projects and presents findings to CAO for consideration.
- Tracks facility utilization and large-scale capital projects across the agency and prepares a dashboard to report data in a clear and concise manner.
- Assists with research and calculations to drive agency decisions, project budgets, costs, and analysis as needed.
- Coordinates deliverables with other agency departments/divisions.
- Maintains budget and project files (paper and electronic) in detail.
- Conducts research as needed and requested by CAO.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or better.
