How you will create an impact
The Supplier Relationship leader will report to the Vice President, Global Sourcing and Procurement Services and will be integral in leading the development, deployment, and management of AIG’s key global third-party supply base. This leader will partner and collaborate with AIG’s strategic suppliers and senior leaders in business functions, finance, Audit/Risk, and IT to ensure overall alignment, management of critical risks, and robust governance of strategic procurement initiatives driving innovative solutions.
- Support the supplier relationship management program leader and strategic relationships for across the global organization with key third-party goods and services suppliers.
- Support execution of strategy and framework to partner with internal stakeholders to build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Gather supplier performance feedback and proactively identify opportunities to address potential issues and risks ensuring alignment of suppliers with AIG’s evolving business goals.
- Integrate program and expand relationships with global AIG stakeholders across GS&PS, business stakeholders, and global functions, including Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Audit, HR, and Insurance groups.
- Support and lead key activities associated with coordination and development of Supplier Quarterly Business Reviews and Symposiums.
- Evaluate and partner with suppliers to measure supplier’s contribution, service levels, breaches and document/monitor plans to remedy and improve performance.
- Perform supplier audits to actively review and measure supplier compliance.
- Partner with key stakeholders including Global Sourcing to maintain supplier segmentation analysis based on risk and value.
- Research and identify suppliers for the business to adapt to new business requirements or to streamline costs.
- Provide strategic leadership with respect to the development, alignment, and execution of global sourcing and business strategies including the partnership with category/sourcing leaders.
- Provide leadership in a manner that contributes to a culture built on principles of innovation, collaboration, client focus, continuous improvement, and empowerment.
- Liaise and communicate key stakeholder messages from GS&PS category leaders, regions, and support organizations for initiatives and programs to gain awareness and sponsorship.
- Research market analysis, peer-to-peer industry benchmarking, and networking to build best-in-class practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with both internal and external (supplier) stakeholders to drive change and deliver on transformation and continuous improvement vision gaining competitive advantage and delivering added value to both parties.
- Provide support as needed across the global GS&PS team.
What you need to succeed
- BA/BS in Supply Chain Management/Business/Finance or related field required.
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience within a global sourcing or related function.
- Experience working in an environment of change with a focus on innovation, collaboration, client focus, continuous improvement, and empowerment.
- Results Oriented, Strong Collaborative Skills, Positive Attitude, High Energy.
- Comfort/familiarity with constructing presentations, organization communications, and business cases.
- Strong ability to build relationships and networks with multiple functions and at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams.
- Data driven with strong influencing skills to align stakeholders and team members project outcomes.
- Self-motivated and able to operate with limited supervision.
- Serving as a role model by demonstrating a commitment to AIG’s values, high performance standards, workplace diversity, and driving results.
- Must be able to work with Global teams and operate in a Flexible work schedule.
- Travel up to 20% estimated, including international travel.
