We are looking for a Senior Claims Analyst – Alternative Risk Transfer based in New York.
Your Team
The Deal Services Team is responsible for all processes and functions in connection with Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) business. The team provides a robust, end to end infrastructure that can efficiently support underwriting growth as well as coordinate and oversee the portfolio post binding which is key to providing continuous high-quality deliverables to both internal and external clients.
The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Global Head of Deal Services – Alternative Risk Transfer as Senior Claims Analyst - Alternative Risk Transfer, you will be responsible for handling all standard claims types, in both lead and following capacity, ensuring claims are handled within authority limits, and in line with Allianz Commercial Claims Standards procedures and guidelines.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Accurate Claims Management: Enter and maintain precise claims records for designated accounts using Allianz Commercial Claims administration systems, ensuring all claims are handled within authority limits and guidelines.
- Data-Driven Insights: Manage the timely production of management information reports, identify loss trends proactively, and support subrogation processes for efficient claims handling.
- Claims Investigation & Settlement: Investigate standard claims, determine coverage and loss exposures, select and direct external service providers, and negotiate settlements to ensure efficient and competitive outcomes.
- Collaboration & Expertise: Discuss and review complex claims with colleagues and management, act as a technical reference point, provide training to less experienced team members, and positively represent Allianz Commercial externally.
- Client & Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers, clients, and stakeholders, support the acquisition of new business, and ensure effective communication of loss and claims information.
- Process Optimization: Support the establishment of claims management procedures for new business accounts, audit external service providers, and drive the involvement of functional areas in the claims handling process.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- 3+ years of specialized knowledge in insurance products, regional/local markets, and competitor landscapes;
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers at a peer level;
- Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks, including litigation management and avoidance techniques;
- In-depth understanding of insurance products, policy wordings, coverages, and the US insurance booking process;
- Extensive knowledge of claims handling, reserving principles, coinsurance, and reinsurance practices;
- Ability to analyze detailed information, negotiate effectively, and communicate clearly across all organizational levels;
The annualized base pay range for this role is $91,827 - $157,491. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
