SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT
JOB SUMMARY: The role involves overseeing general accounting and financial reporting for Austin Powder Ltd (Canadian Operations), Austin Chile Holdings, and Austin International. The incumbent serves as the primary contact for addressing financial inquiries from field personnel and analyzing trends and variances from the budget to facilitate enhancements in financial performance. Furthermore, the position includes month-end responsibilities, contributing to the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements for Austin Powder Holdings Company.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Gain a thorough understanding of the general ledger software system and maintain chart of accounts
- Financial reporting and analysis
- General accounting functions including account reconciliations and analysis
- Assist Financial Reporting Manager with monthly consolidation process utilizing OneStream software
- Oversee all aspects of Austin International export processes
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in accounting or finance
- Experience working as an accountant with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Familiarity with various ERP systems and consolidation software.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and research skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficient in Word and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of GAAP reporting
- Ability to perform work accurately
- Strong organizational skills and a self-starter
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cooperatively
WORK SCHEDULE
The Senior Staff Accountant is an exempt salary position, with an 8-hour day or a 40-hour work week. This opportunity is located at our Corporate office in Beachwood, where we are currently working in office Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday with remote work the rest of the week.
