Job Summary
This position will be responsible for a full range of financial and operational analysis, and various other financial projects in support of the Retail Business Units. This person will also be responsible for multiple other ad hoc projects as assigned.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for accounting support of the Retail Companies including but not limited to:
- Prepare and analyze monthly profitability.
- Interface in a variety of forums to research and obtain financial information relating to variance analysis.
- Prepare monthly accounting entries.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting documents or schedules.
- Maintain monthly data models.
- Analyze detail level data from the Data Warehouse.
- Assist in the on-going development or enhancements of the current accounting and reporting functions.
- Ensure SOX and internal controls are operating effectively, and documentation is accurate and complete.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
- Open office environment.
- Some overtime required as special projects arise.
- Hybrid work schedule (in office 3-4 days per week).
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university required.
- 0-2 years of Accounting or Finance Experience.
- Previous experience in the Power Industry preferred.

- Advanced Excel skills.
- Efficient time-management to meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to identify issues and propose solutions.

- Proficient in effectively communicating to a wide range of audiences in both written and oral form.
- Excels in quickly conceptualizing and assimilating data to make decisions and take appropriate action.

- Comfortably handles risk and uncertainty.
- Detail-oriented.
- Proficient in the operation of personal computers and windows-based software, specifically Excel. Experience in SAP and HFM would be beneficial but is not required.
- Works independently through the use of initiative and self-motivation.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
